Yellofruit | For the Kid in All of Us!
With the intentions of creating a healthier-than-ice-cream alternative for their three children, Andrew Kinnear and Claire Lysnes – a husband and wife business duo – began mixing up frozen organic bananas as a post-dinner dessert.
Quickly realizing that their frozen creations had a broader market appeal, Andrew and Claire were able to launch their Canadian startup, Yellofruit – a non-dairy, frozen dessert made with organic bananas as the base instead of cream, milk or other dairy ingredients.

Oatly’s frozen dessert is making quite the impact with their plant-based product coming in – you guessed it – plant-based packaging!
In 2020, Oatly made the conscious decision to introduce their frozen dessert to the world in packaging that focused on sustainability. Sentinel™ is a first of its kind; eco-friendly paper-based packaging made with an innovative renewable coating derived from sugarcane. At Stanpac, we are thrilled to offer Sentinel™ Renewable Ice Cream Packaging in our product line up.
Sentinel™ paperboard is also made from virgin fibre, certified by SFI (the Sustainable Forestry Initiative), meaning the trees that were used to make the packaging come from responsibly managed forests.
