Stanpac was established in 1949 under the name `Standard Cap and Seal Limited` as a subsidiary of a large American corporation.
At the time, the company`s primary product was paperboard milk caps. However, in 1971, Steve Witt (photographed here), acquired and founded the company known today as Stanpac.
In 1973, Steve relocated the operations to Smithville, Ontario starting with a workforce of only two employees.
For the first two decades, Stanpac primarily focused on manufacturing paperboard products like milk bottle caps, drinking glass covers (known as ""bottle caps""), paper tubes, and tab lids.
Since then, Stanpac has diversified and expanded into various new markets, offering solutions for ice cream, fluid milk, wine and spirits, and food service packaging. What once began as a modest milk cap manufacturer, has evolved into a global leader in the dairy, ice cream, and beverage sectors with a strong presence in over 30 countries.
Today, the company is owned by Steve`s sons, Andrew and Matt, as we continue to strive for innovation and deliver an unmatched level of customer service.
