Brian Gilbert

Current Position: Field Service Technician
Interests: Music, concerts, foods, travelling, playing sports and family
Meet Brian! Brian joined the Stanpac team in the fall of 2022 as a Field Service Technician. While working at Stanpac’s Flex E Fill Department in Smithville, Brian builds, installs and services Flex E Fill equipment. This equipment is leased out by Stanpac’s customers to fill both our round and non-round packaging with their products!
Brian’s interests outside of work include music and concerts. Trying different foods, travelling, playing sports and spending time with friends and family.
When asked what he likes about working at Stanpac, Brian says “My favorite part about working at Stanpac are the people! I’ve met plenty of great people in the shop/plant as well as on the road at our Brenham location as well as many of our great flex e fill customers across Canada and the U.S.”
Angela A.
Joined Stanpac: 2007
Current Position: Separator
Interests: Gardening and getting together for game nights
Angela started working at Stanpac’s Smithville location in 2007 and was running various machines such as the blanker, old ice cream, ocean spray and the die cut machines.
Currently, Angela works in the role of separator. This role involves separating the different flavours of packaging blanks. Blanks are put onto skids and prepped to be formed into Stanpac cups and lids.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys gardening and getting together with family and friends for game nights.
When asked what her favorite part of working at Stanpac is, Angela says “I love my job and the people I work with!”
Sarah Erskine

Current Position: Senior Lead Hand
Interests: Spending time with family and enjoys hiking and fishing
In 2009 Sarah started as a bottle loader/unloader in the INK decorating department. Almost 2 years later she transferred into the Husky room where she ran a labeler and helped with the mold injection machinery. 2 years after that she became a lead hand in the bottle decorating department where she learned to ordered materials, stage out and receive finished product as well as train and supervise employees.
Currently, Sarah is a Senior Lead Hand in the bottle decorating department at our Stanpac INK plant. This position allows her to guide and train all 4 Lead Hands and all employees in a safe and efficient way. Sarah helps communicate with employees, maintains inventory accuracy and makes sure tasks, assigned by management, are completed in a timely manner while ensuring quality products for our customers. Sarah’s interest outside of work include spending time with her family, hiking and fishing.
When asked why Sarah enjoys working at Stanpac she had this to say: At Stanpac there is ample opportunity to progress within the company. Management has always been easy to talk with and very understanding when it comes to family issues. Stanpac believes family and health come first. Stanpac not only feels like family but a community. I will always be appreciative of all the support they have given me over the years.
Tyrone Hutchinson

Current Position: Cup Department Supervisor (Brenham, TX)
Interests: Spending time with kids and any kind of sports
Meet Tyrone!
Tyrone joined Stanpac at the end of 2010 as a temporary parts room organizer. He would not remain temporary very long as after just 1 month he was hired on as a packer. In this role he worked with the pint machines.
Within 6 months after being hired on Tyrone was then promoted to floor lead and following this, he would find himself in the role of Cup Department Supervisor. In his current role, Tyrone oversees the quality of cups and ensures only the best is sent to Stanpac customers. Tyrone also handles the schedule for all 3 shifts in the Cup Department.
In his free time Tyrone likes to spend time with his kids and enjoys anything to do with sports!
When asked why he likes working at Stanpac Tyrone had this to say: I love the willingness to work with employees and how Stanpac will provide anyone with opportunities. The main thing I like about Stanpac is the best boss Matt W who gave me an opportunity when no one else would, I will never forget that.
Casey Fournier

Current Position: Cups Team Lead
Interests: Music, Driving, Video Games, and Good Food
Meet Casey!
Casey joined Stanpac in June 2020 as a Production Associate and began his journey to growing his career within Stanpac’s Cups Department. In March 2021, Casey was promoted to Cups Quality Control Lead and would remain in this role for a short period of time before once again being promoted.
Casey is now a Weekend Team Lead in Stanpac’s Cups Department. In this role, he is able to utilize his previous leadership experience and help the team meet production goals. Casey also picks up extra shifts during the week in order to gain more experience and knowledge about the department.
Casey’s interests outside of work include music, driving, video games, going out to the movies, and sitting down for a good meal somewhere with company.
When asked what his favorite part of working at Stanpac is, Casey had this to say: “My favorite part of working at Stanpac is the opportunities available to those who put in continued effort and dedication into their work. The people at Stanpac are so easy to get along with”
Loi Dang

Current Position: Half Gallon Lid Operator/ Packer
Interests: Tennis and soccer when he was younger. Now he loves to walk in parks, fish, reading spy novels and watching TV shows (Funniest Home Videos)
Meet Loi!
Loi Dang is currently a half gallon lid operator/packer in Stanpac’s Brenham Texas location. Born in Vietnam and an Air Force veteran – Loi has had an incredible journey to get to where he is today.
In 1967 at 18 years old, Loi volunteered to join the South Vietnam Air Force. Over 2,000 applications were received for 60 air cadet pilot positions. Loi was one of those 60 chosen; seven of whom (including Loi) are alive today. Loi started out as a pilot for 8 years before being promoted to the position of Captain. During his military service he was shot down twice during the Vietnam War; bailing out the first time and performing an emergency landing in South Vietnam the second time. In 1975 Loi and other military personnel were sent to prison for 6 and a half years. After being released in 1982, he began to work any available jobs in order to support his family.
7 years later Loi along with 90 others, fled to Indonesia. This took 5 days by boat and Loi played a critical role in guiding the trip, being the only passenger who knew how to read a compass. Upon arrival in Indonesia, Loi was sent to a refugee camp where he would volunteer.
In 1993, Loi was granted an interview and approval to travel to the U.S. – Specifically Houston where he would mow lawns during the day and work at a hotel at night. In 1994, Loi moved to Brenham and worked several jobs until joining Brentex Mills (now Stanpac USA LLC building). In September 2010, Loi joined the Stanpac family and has proven to be a tremendous asset to the team during his years with the company.
Loi’s interests outside of work include walking in parks, Fishing, Reading Spy Novels, and watching Funniest Home Videos.
When asked what Loi likes best about working at Stanpac, he had this to say: “I love my job and doing the best I can” Loi is almost 74 years old and wants everyone to work together to be happy and healthy. Stanpac is certainly lucky to have a hard-working, loyal and dedicated employee like Loi!
Michael Morningstar
Joined Stanpac: 2017
Current Position: Supervisor
Interests: Hiking, camping, fishing, hunting & watching hockey
Meet Michael!
Michael started working at Stanpac in July 2017 as a machine operator within our Lid Forming department, a year later he found himself moving up into a Tubewinder role. He then moved to the quality team where he spent over a year as a Quality Tech. He returned to Lids in May 2020 as a Lead Hand where he got a chance to start developing his leadership skills. This June Michael’s excellent leadership was recognized, and he is now a Lids Supervisor!
You will always find Michael coming in early to his shift making sure the floor is ready for when his team arrives. He always offers a helping hand to the team to make everyone’s shift run smoothly. Michael describes his team as his family!
When we asked why Michael liked working at Stanpac he mentioned that the managers have always been welcoming to new team members as if they were family. Stanpac has also provided employees the opportunity to challenge themselves to the next level. When Michael isn’t at work, he can be found enjoying the outdoors or cheering on the Maple Leafs during hockey season. Although recently, Michael has welcomed his new daughter to the world!
Kevin Roszell

Current Position: Production Scheduler
Interests: Sports
Meet Kevin!
Kevin joined Stanpac in September of 2004 as a Forklift Operator. After 10 years, Kevin was promoted to a position as a dispatcher. He would find himself in this role for the following 4 years until moving into his current role as a Production Scheduler.
Kevin currently works within a tight nit team where he is responsible for scheduling the printing and forming machines to create Stanpac’s popular ice cream packaging. Kevin has been described as a dedicated employee who wears Stanpac on his sleeve. He represents the company values to a tee.
Kevin’s interests outside of work include poker, playing pool, and watching NFL. When asked what he likes about working at Stanpac, Kevin had this to say: I like working with good people. Flexible hours and fringe benefits like Food Truck days and of course being at a company that will continue to have business for years to come!
Jeremy Pinner

Current Position: Lids Maintenance Supervisor
Interests: His Family, Movies & Motorcycles
Meet Jeremy!
Jeremy joined Stanpac’s Brenham Facility in November of 2015 and started as a junior mechanic working night shifts. He was then recognized for his dedication to Stanpac and found himself in the role of Production Supervisor. About a year later, Jeremy rejoined the Maintenance team and worked as a Senior Mechanic. It wasn’t long after he re-joined the maintenance team that his hard work and support from his wife (pictured) earned him a spot as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Jeremy now supervises a team of mechanics that work together on preventative maintenance and repairs for Stanpac’s Ice cream Lid Forming Machines.
Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle and watching movies!
When asked why he likes working for Stanpac Jeremy had this to say: “my favourite part of working at Stanpac is that I feel like I add value here. The managers and owners notice the hard work that I put in and I feel like I am part of a team and a family.”
Ludy Janeth Blanco Mora
Joined Stanpac: November 2013
Current Position: Pre-Press Coordinator
Interests: Movies, books, and spending time with family
Ludy started working at Stanpac in November 2013 as a Machine Operator in the Injection Moulding department until May 2014. After taking a year off, Ludy then returned to Stanpac as Pre-Press Coordinator in May 2015 within our CSR team. Today Ludy oversees the approval process for all artwork changes and rectifies any issues that may occur. She also supports the CSR team with the development and implementation of new products and packs.
When we asked Ludy what her favourite part of working at Stanpac is she said “I am able to organize my time and tasks freely. Although I may have the same set of responsibilities to fulfill every day, there is still always something new to be learned. Above all, I love working at Stanpac because I have always received support from my superiors whether it is about personal or work-related reasons”. In Ludy’s spare time she loves to spend time with her family, practicing her English, watching movies, or reading a good book!
Alexandria Neuman

Current Position: Customer Service Rep
Interests: Racing, camping, spending time outdoors
Alexandria joined Stanpac in May of 2018 as a Customer Service Rep within our Customer Service team. Ever since Alexandria joined the team, she has been working closely with our US East Coast Ice cream packaging customers (Hi Hersheys!) This includes chatting with new inquirers about their options and all the way through to invoicing once the project is complete, Alexandria is there every step of the way! Since she works with customers throughout the whole process Alexandria gets to work with all the different departments at Stanpac to coordinate the artwork and order which she loves.
When we asked Alexandria her favourite part of Stanpac she said the people she gets to interact with are awesome! She loves her supportive co-workers who have turned into friends. Also, she gets to know customers on a personal level which makes her job more meaningful when she gets to help a customer that she knows well.
Outside of work Alexandria can be found going to the racetrack with friends or at the dragstrip or drifting events.
Jason Riggins

Current Position: Maintenance Technician

Say hello to Jason! He joined the Stanpac team on May 6, 2010 when our Brenham facility was just starting to grow. He met with Steve Witt for an interview and was curious about Steve’s role within the company and he quickly learned that he was speaking to the founder of Stanpac! When asked how long Jason planned to work for Stanpac, he replied “as long as you will let me!”. His current role is a Maintenance Technician but he has dabbled in almost every position at Stanpac, from working on the packaging line to supervising staff. Jason’s current position allows him to be hands on in the machines, offering up repairs and troubleshooting our formers and so much more. In Jason’s spare time, he likes to dive into building and racing cars so it’s clear that he loves to get his hands dirty! If he’s not fixing cars or forming machines, you’re sure to find Jason playing one of the many boardgames he enjoys! When asked why Jason loves to work for Stanpac, he had this to say: “Steve gave me a great opportunity to join Stanpac and I love to work on the machines. I like working for a family-oriented company!” We are certainly glad to have you as part of the family too!
Katie Stanton
Joined Stanpac: November 2018
Current Position: Recruitment Coordinator
Interests: Spending time outdoors, golf and hanging out with her golden retriever
Katie first joined Stanpac as a Human Resources Intern in November 2018. She quickly fit in and was able to begin applying what she had learned in the classroom to the workplace. Katie’s internship ended in April of 2019 and was hired on permanently in her current position of Recruitment Coordinator. Katie, along with another Recruitment Coordinator work to hire all our awesome staff and coordinate their new hire experience as they venture out into their new positions. In Katie’s personal time she likes to participate in outdoor activities, take care of her golden retriever, spends time with friends and family, read and cook! Sounds like she keeps quite busy! When asked why she like loves working for Stanpac, Katie had this to say: “Stanpac is truly a great place to work! I have always felt like we are one big team driven by the same goals. Stanpac cares about its employees and, in return, their employees care about Stanpac. I have learned so much in my first year here, and I am both grateful and proud to be part of such an awesome company”. We are grateful for you as well
Ramiro “Ram” Diaz

Current Position: Print Shop Manager (Brenham, Texas)
Interests: Cooking, spending time with family, traveling
Ram originally came to us through our purchase of Solo’s Ice Cream Packaging division in 2008. Throughout his career with Stanpac, Ram has performed in a few different positions including a Kidder Operator, a Fusion Press Trainer and now Print Shop Manager. Ram has been with the company for almost 12 years and has certainly seen some significant changes during his tenure, including the addition of a state of the art printing press to our Brenham facility. In Ram’s current position, he oversees our Printing operations to ensure all our packaging is beautifully printed for our awesome customers. When asked why he loves working for Stanpac, Ram had this to say: “I love working in Printing. Stanpac feels like a big family and this is where I feel at home” . We are glad you’re a part of the Stanpac Family too, Ram!
Katie Lipsett
Joined Stanpac: 2005
Current Position: Quality Coordinator
Interests: Spending time with her husband and super cute 3 year old daughter!
Katie first joined Stanpac while she was a student in high school in 2005. While she completed high school, Katie worked in the Cups and Lids Department as a Machine Operator. In 2008, Katie opted to pursue interests outside of Stanpac but like so many, came back to us in 2014 as a Machine Operator in the Injection Molding Department. In 2016, Katie and her husband Jamie (who also works for Stanpac!) welcomed their adorable baby girl. When Katie returned from her maternity leave, she moved into a new role in the Quality Department where she remains today. When we asked Katie what she loves about Stanpac, she had this to say: “I like working for Stanpac because I feel like I’m part of a family instead of being at a job. I look forward to coming to work; everyone is always super friendly. My career here is also in line with my interests!” We’re happy to have you in the Stanpac Family too!
Socorro Salazar

Current Position: Junior Mechanic (Totowa, New Jersey)
Interests: Soccer, his family (3 kids!), reading with his children
Socorro came to us officially in September of 2017 when Stanpac acquired Moducup in Totowa, New Jersey. Prior to Stanpac’s purchase, Socorro had worked for Moducup since 2015. We were thrilled that Socorro wanted to join the Stanpac family! Throughout his career with Moducup and Stanpac, Socorro has worked in many different positions such as a Machine Operator and Die Cutter. He’s advanced his position with the company as a Shift Leader and he is presently one of our experienced Junior Mechanics. When asked why Socorro loves working for Stanpac, he had this to say: “I love everything about the job especially operating the machines and learning how to repair and troubleshoot issues that may arise. Stanpac has given me the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally!”
Elvia Torres

Current Position: Tube Winder Operator (Brenham, Texas)
Interests: God, Family and she loves working for Stanpac!
Elvia originally came to us through our purchase of Solo’s Ice Cream Packaging division in 2008 and works as a Tube Winder Operator in our Brenham Facility. Elvia has been with Stanpac for almost 12 years which means she’s been a part of so many great changes in our Texas Plant! Ironically enough, Elvia was originally hired as a Tube Winder but has developed strengths in different departments and job functions. Since coming on board, she has worked as a Lid Operator/Packer and Cup Packer and made her way back to where it all started! As one of our top trainers, Elvia helps ensure our new team members learn the ropes well! When asked why she loves working for Stanpac, Elvia had this to say: “I love the people I work with and plan to stay for another 20 years!” We hope so too, Elvia!
Sarah Nielson

Current Position: Pre-Press Technician in the Graphics Department
Interests: Swimming, Snowboarding, Art/Design
Sarah joined Stanpac in September 2009 as a Pre-Press Technician in our Graphics Department and has been helping our customers match their targets and vision ever since! As a Pre-Press Technician, Sarah, along with the creative team she works with, checks our customer’s artwork for accuracy or potential print issues. After being sent press-ready files from the customers, Sarah will review the templates colours, image resolution, spelling and line thickness while also performing colour-matching techniques or file manipulation to satisfy the vision of the customer. When asked why Sarah enjoys working for Stanpac, she had this to say: “The growth that Stanpac has seen over the years is extensive and the job stability gives me peace of mind. This is invaluable to me, as I’ve seen so many people in and out of jobs. The teamwork within the department makes the job a lot more manageable. We don’t have the ‘every man for himself’ mentality so we’re able to bounce ideas off each other in order to problem solve. There are so many perks to working here like great benefits and flexibility of hours when needed.” In her spare time, you will find Sarah spending time with her wonderful family, taking hikes in the great outdoors and staying active.
Karen Kot

Current Position: Manager of Die-Cuts

Karen originally started working within our bottle decorating facility as an Unloader and from there moved on to working with the die-cut machines for approximately 6 years. Following her time with the die-cut machines, Karen moved into the Injection Molding room as a Cap Labeler. It wouldn’t be long before Karen would find her way back into the area of Die-cuts where she became the first person to be trained on a new machine specifically designed for die-cutting. As Stanpac continued to grow, Karen was relied upon for her excellent knowledge and training abilities for the new staff. Fast forward to today where Karen now oversees the Die-Cutting operation with an amazing team of 14 staff. When asked what she loves about Stanpac, Karen had this to say: “I love my job and the people I work with. I have made lifelong friends and couldn’t think of a better place to be working. My Leaders are the best folks I have ever worked for. They have given me the opportunity to grow with the company and grow within myself.”
Cody Kelly
Joined Stanpac: 2009
Current Position: Engineering Design Manager
Interests: Surfing the Australian coast
Cody joined Stanpac in 2009 as a co-op student in our Quality Department. After graduating college, Cody was fortunate enough to begin working full time as a Quality Technician. After a couple years in this role, he advanced into a management position that oversaw Quality, Safety and Human Resources. After a short hiatus surfing in Australia, Cody came back to Stanpac in a new role as a Production Manager of Lids. Cody wouldn’t stay still for long as he was awarded another position in our Injection Molding department where he would remain for approximately 4 years. From there, Cody’s interest in the Engineering Department grew and he followed his passion. Today Cody is the Engineering Design Manager. He continues to develop his skills while attending night school at McMaster University in their Engineering program. When asked why he likes working for Stanpac, Cody had this to say: “Stanpac has provided me with multiple opportunities to grow and learn. I have always felt respected and my opinions are valued. I’m given the freedom to make decisions and they (management) are there to support me and help me be successful. The job is close to home and the owners of the company are very genuine and personable. The door is always open for me.”
Cheryl Murphy

Current Position: Purchasing
Interests: Animals!
Cheryl joined Stanpac in April 2009 as a Machine Operator in the Cup Forming Department. After approximately 7 months, Cheryl saw an opportunity in the Purchasing Department and decided to go for it! As it turns out, this was the perfect job for Cheryl and she has been happily in the role since November 2009. Cheryl is responsible for purchases, supplier negotiation, logistics and inventory of most raw materials such as resin, colour, glue, cartons and liners. When asked why she loves working for Stanpac, Cheryl had this to say: “I love working for Stanpac! Everyday is a new challenge. This is the first place I have worked that I feel part of a great team and that hard work is noticed and appreciated. It is a great atmosphere to come to each day.”
